My contrubution
I carried out the analysis of the results of two questions in the survey carried out regarding our storyboards and put them all together on slide share so that it could be posted on the groups blogs. I also added a lot more detail to the script of our opening sequence.

The big picture
The story behind the opening that we will be filming for our media coursework is; a strong friendship bond between two male characters and as the film continues it is revealed that character two is plotting against character one in an attempt to ruin his life, the reason behind his doing so is unclear. When character one learns that his friend is planning to kill him he sees no other option but to act first, leading to the murder of character two. However at the end of the film the audience learn that character one is suffering from mental illness schizophrenia, and there was not plot to kill him other than in his head. Therefore the murder of his closest friend was in no way justified and there is no way of knowing how the deluded murderer will act next.

Progress towards opening sequence
Our group has worked on our storyboards, developing our idea and adding in creative camera movements so that we now have an idea of what will happen the whole way through the opening. We have organised our locations, for example the flashbacks will take place on Crooked Lane. We have also worked out all the props that we will need and discussed what we can realistically
show, without comprimising quality. The production logo has been designed and fits well with the colour theme of the opening. I played a vital role in the storyboarding by writing down all the techniquel terms and explaining the media story through the use of mise en scene, editing, sounds, camera shots and movement. We also started to create copyright free music that we can use during our opening. Our group has worked well together with each member contributing an equal amount to the task and with all listening to each others ideas and considering the best option. Therefore I would say that we have made good progress over the last week and have a good solid idea of what our opening will contain.

Starting to record...
Today we started to film but it was raining so we had to call it off. However we did learn some things to help when we do start to film. We will need to use a tripod to prevent the camera from shaking and to make the film look more professional.

My Roll.
I played a very important roll in the creation of our storyboard for the perliminary task. I worked on the sound and camera movement and looked at the media terms for the edits, sounds ands shots.

180 degree rule.
The 180 degree rule is where the camera has to stay on one side of a 180 degree line that passes through the centre of two characters when they are talking. The left to right relationship between the two charcters must stay the same, otherwise it can be confusing to the audience. The rule should not be broken unless for effect.
